Chronic Neuropathy CareComing soon

When neuropathy keeps holding you back, it's time for a different approach.

If you're still experiencing numbness, tingling, burning, weakness, or problems with balance despite treatment, it may be time to look deeper. The right diagnosis can open the door to different treatment options.

Neuropathy is more than numbness and tingling.

Burning, tingling, numbness, pain, weakness, and balance problems can be signs that your nerves are not functioning properly. But nerves do much more than provide sensation. Some forms of neuropathy can also affect nerve signals that help regulate important functions throughout the body.

For patients with certain immune-mediated neuropathies, IVIG takes a different approach. Rather than simply masking symptoms, IVIG helps regulate the abnormal immune response that can damage nerves, giving affected nerves the opportunity to recover function.

Could this be neuropathy?

Burning, tingling, or numbness in your feet or hands
Sharp, stabbing, or unexplained nerve pain
Muscle weakness or loss of balance
Symptoms that are getting worse or spreading
Persistent symptoms without a clear explanation or treatment plan

If any of these sound familiar, our team can help determine what may be affecting your nerves and what testing may be needed to find the right path forward.

Treat the disease, not the symptoms.

Numbness, tingling, burning, and pain are what you feel. But simply reducing those symptoms doesn't address what may be damaging your nerves. Understanding the cause of your neuropathy allows us to determine whether treatment can target the underlying disease process, not just mask the symptoms.

Are you a candidate for IVIG treatment?

Finding out starts with understanding your neuropathy. Our team will evaluate your symptoms, nerve function, medical history, and diagnostic findings to determine whether IVIG may be an appropriate treatment for you.

01

Meet our team

Meet with a MediFuse provider in person or by telehealth to review your neuropathy, symptoms, previous treatments, medications, and overall health.

02

Understand your neuropathy

A nerve conduction study and EMG (NCV/EMG) can help identify the type, location, and extent of nerve dysfunction. Blood work and other testing may also be recommended to look for potential causes of your neuropathy.

03

Determine if IVIG is right for you

We'll review your examination and diagnostic findings to determine whether your neuropathy is a type that may respond to IVIG treatment.

04

Prepare for treatment

If IVIG is appropriate for you, MediFuse will complete the necessary pre-treatment steps and work with your insurance to obtain any required authorization.

05

Begin your road to results

Begin your IVIG infusion care with our team closely monitoring your treatment, nerve function, symptoms, and progress along the way.
